We bought the farm to get away from “the Big city life”. Over the years, we totally fell in love with the farm and its peaceful atmosphere and met some amazing people. The locals became our friends and we enjoy every individual! Shortly after we have purchased the farm, we started with renovations. We started cutting bushes and opened some new tracks where we came across some challenging obstacles. We renovated the ablutions in 2011 and in 2013 we re-built the kitchen and turned it into a Tuck shop. In June 2013 we renovated the old braai’s and in December 2013 we installed 3 electrical points and additional lighting poles in the picnic/campsite area. In March 2014 we built the BOMA, that draws a lot of attention with the locals! We are planning more upgrades for Killarney.
We registered Killarney 4×4 as a closed corporation and run it as a family business. All revenue generated from Killarney 4×4 is used to maintain & renovate the picnic area, ablutions & all other facilities. With our staff, together we make a great team! Events are a bonus for our local customers! We absolutely enjoy the organizing and planning of events, and as a family we do our best to ensure the smooth running of all events! Our aim is to provide our customers with a bit of tranquility mixed together with a little bit of fun and adventure, where they can get away from “city life” and enjoy a weekend away with their families. The least we can do is to provide our customers with a clean picnic/braai and campsite area and keep the ablutions clean and as hygienic as possible at all times. We maintain and upgrade our 4×4 tracks and obstacles continuously. We strive to make every customer feel welcome and want them to enjoy every moment they spend at Killarney 4×4!
